Precision and Future Medicine accepts the following article types. Click on an article type to view submission instructions.

Original Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must include the address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address of the corresponding author.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. The abstract must be less than 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must describe the purpose, methods, results, and conclusion.
Manuscript The manuscript must not exceed 3,000 words excluding the abstract, references, tables, figures, illustrations, and legends. The main text must include Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion. The manuscript must include up to 5 keywords at the bottom of the abstract, an acknowledgments section, and an author contribution section.
References References must not exceed 30. References must be cited using Arabic numerals in brackets in a numbered style. References must be numbered in order of appearance, list all authors when there are six or fewer, list the first six authors followed by "et al." when there are more than six, and use Medline journal title abbreviations.
Figures & Tables A maximum of 7 figures or tables may be included. Figures must be submitted as separate files and not embedded in the manuscript file. Figures and tables must be numbered in the order cited in the text.

Reviews

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must include the corresponding author's address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must be 200 words or fewer. The abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript The manuscript should be approximately 3,000 to 5,000 words. Reviews should be organized as title page, abstract and keywords, introduction, main text, conclusion, acknowledgments, references, tables, figure legends, and figures. The manuscript must include three to five MeSH keywords.
References The manuscript must not exceed 200 references. References must be cited in the text in numeric order, and every reference listed must be cited in the text and vice versa.
Figures & Tables There is no restriction on the number of figures and tables. Figures must be supplied as separate files, and tables should be included in the main document. All symbols in figures must be defined in the figure captions, and figure text must remain legible after reduction.

Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 1,500 words excluding the abstract, references, tables, and legends. Manuscript must be organized as title page, abstract and keywords, introduction, case report(s), discussion, acknowledgments, references, tables, figure legends, and figures. Manuscript must include three to five MeSH keywords.
References References must not exceed 10. References must be cited in the text in numeric order, and every reference listed must be cited in the text and vice versa.
Figures & Tables A maximum of 5 figures or tables is allowed. Figures must be supplied as separate files, while tables are included in the main manuscript document. All symbols in figures must be defined in the figure captions.

Letters To The Editor

Abstract Letters To The Editor do not require an abstract.
Manuscript Main text must be 1,000 words or fewer, excluding references and figure legends. Manuscripts must be arranged in the sequence Title page, Abstract and keywords, Main text, Acknowledgments, References, Tables, and Figure legends. Three to five MeSH keywords must be included.
References Letters To The Editor must not exceed 5 references. References must be cited in the text in numeric order, and every reference listed must be cited in the text and vice versa.
Figures & Tables Letters To The Editor may include a maximum of 2 figures including tables. Each figure must be supplied as a separate file. All table and figure numbers must be cited in the text.
