Original Research

Cover Letter A formal cover letter is required. The cover letter must identify the article type, include the date, full mailing address, email address, and signature, disclose conflicts of interest and financial support, state permission to adapt or reuse copyrighted material, and describe any AI-assisted technologies used.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript The main text must not exceed 3,500 words. The main text must use the headings Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion. A summary box is required, the manuscript must include a title page, byline, acknowledgments, references, and up to 10 keywords, and all randomized controlled trials must be registered with ClinicalTrials.gov.
References References must not exceed 35. AMA References must follow AMA style.
Figures & Tables Tables and figures must not exceed 5 total in any combination. Figures, multimedia, and other audio/visual files must be uploaded separately. Tables and figures must be understandable without consulting the text, and tables and figures must not duplicate information in the text.

References No more than 40 references. AMA. References must follow AMA style.
Figures & Tables No more than 5 tables and 4 figures. Figures, multimedia, and other audio/visual files must be uploaded separately. Tables must not duplicate text, figures and tables must be numbered in order of citation, and tables and figures must include the required titles, legends, captions, and other table or figure-specific content limits.
