It publishes international articles on all aspects of the science and philosophy of public health, public health services, and public health systems, with a focus on improving the health and care of populations or communities. Original Research

Cover Letter A covering letter is required for Original Research articles. The covering letter must explain why the submission is appropriate for publication in Public Health, state what is known about the topic, state what the study adds, and confirm that the paper has not been published elsewhere.
Abstract A structured abstract is required for Original Research articles. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Objectives, Study design, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Original Research articles must not normally exceed 3,000 words. The manuscript must include the sections Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Acknowledgements. The manuscript must include 3–6 keywords after the abstract, include statements of ethical approval, funding, and competing interests in the acknowledgements, and include a Declaration of Generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process before the references if such tools were used.
References References must follow AMA style. References must be cited in the text using superscript Arabic numerals in order of appearance, and the reference list must be numbered in that same order.
Figures & Tables A maximum of 5 tables and figures combined may appear within the manuscript. Additional tables or figures beyond the manuscript limit may be included as online supplementary material. Figures must include captions and tables must include titles, descriptions, and footnotes.

Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Objectives, Study design, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript The manuscript must not exceed 3,000 words. The manuscript must include Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Acknowledgements sections, and Narrative Reviews must state the criteria for study selection and describe the review methods in the body of the paper. The manuscript must include 3–6 keywords after the abstract, statements on ethical approval, funding, and competing interests in the Acknowledgements, and a Declaration of Generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process before the references if such tools were used.
References The manuscript can include up to 100 references. References must follow AMA style. References must be cited with superscript Arabic numerals in the order of appearance and listed numerically in that same order.
