Review Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified. Prior to submitting a manuscript, authors are encouraged to submit a detailed outline, complete author list, and preliminary reference list for approval.
Abstract A narrative abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be narrative and able to stand alone.
Manuscript Manuscript must contain organized text, a conclusion, a literature review statement, stated inclusion and exclusion criteria for articles, and a paragraph after the literature search methods highlighting up to five key references with a one- or two-sentence rationale for each. Manuscript must include keywords, and any AI or AI-assisted tools used in the research design or methods must be described reproducibly in the methods section.
References References must be formatted in Vancouver style. References must be limited to peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, arranged alphabetically by author, cited in the text with superscript numbers, use Index Medicus abbreviations and punctuation, list the first three authors followed by et al for references with five or more authors, and include every listed reference in the text.
Figures & Tables Tables and figures must be included if appropriate. Tables must be placed next to the relevant text or on separate pages at the end of the article, and figures must be supplied as separate files along with the manuscript. Tables must be submitted as editable text rather than images, numbered consecutively, and include captions.
