Research Paper

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must introduce the paper and explain why the work is important and suitable for publication at this time, and it must disclose any use of AI in generating content or images, writing code, processing data, or providing translation.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. Unstructured.
Manuscript Research Papers must not exceed 5000 words. The manuscript must include the first-level section headers Introduction, Materials and methods, Results, and Discussion. The manuscript must include an In brief section, 4 to 6 keywords, and the disclosure sections Author contributions, Conflicts of interest, and Funding.
References Research Papers must include no more than 60 references. APA. References must use an author-date citation system, be listed alphabetically at the end of the main text, include all authors in each reference, and follow APA-style formatting with full page spans and no et al. in the reference list.
Figures & Tables Research Papers may include a maximum of 10 tables and figures. Tables must be placed at the end of the main text, and figures and their captions must be embedded in the text in numerical order or placed at the end of the manuscript. Tables must be numbered in order of citation, include titles and organism names, and avoid internal horizontal lines, while figures must have captions with symbol and abbreviation definitions and all images must be supplied as separate files when required.

Figures and captions should be embedded in the text in correct numerical order or placed at the end of the manuscript, and all tables must be placed at the end of the main text. Figures and tables must be numbered in order of citation, tables must be editable and include titles and explanatory footnotes, and figure captions must define symbols and abbreviations.
