Seminars in Arthritis and Rheumatism is a bimonthly journal covering clinical, therapeutic, and translational research on arthritis, rheumatology, and musculoskeletal disorders. It publishes diagnostic criteria, consensus statements, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and clinical and translational research studies for rheumatologists, internal medicine physicians, immunologists, and specialists in bone and mineral metabolism. The journal no longer publishes single case reports, unsolicited narrative reviews, analyses using uni- or bi-directional Mendelian randomization for genetic associations of risk factors with disease, or Letters to the Editor or Correspondence.

Manuscript Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses must be critical, in-depth literature-based reviews that include the author's perspective and must include a statement of literature search explaining the search methodology and inclusion and exclusion criteria. Include 1 to 7 keywords in English, and disclose any use of generative AI tools in manuscript preparation or translation in the manuscript.
References Citations must use numbered references in square brackets with the reference list numbered in order of appearance. References must be consistent in style, include core bibliographic details, abbreviate journal names according to LTWA, and for more than 6 authors list the first 6 followed by 'et al.'.
Figures & Tables Tables must be submitted as editable text, while figures and other artwork must be supplied as separate files along with the manuscript. All tables and figures must be cited in the text, numbered in order of appearance, and accompanied by captions, and tables must not be submitted as images.
