Original Research

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must confirm no image duplication, manipulation, or visual plagiarism, state that all authors approved the manuscript, and substantiate each author's specific contribution if there are more than 10 authors.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. The abstract must be structured and include rationale, methods, results, and conclusions. Methods, Results, and Conclusions must appear as headings in the abstract.
Manuscript The manuscript main text must be organized into sections such as Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusions, with Results, Discussion, and Conclusions allowed to be combined and Methods permitted before or after Results. Five keywords must be submitted with the abstract, and AI tool use for writing, image generation, data collection, or analysis must be disclosed in the Acknowledgements and specified in the Materials and Methods section.
References References must not exceed 200. References must be numbered consecutively starting from 1 and cited in the text by number rather than as footnotes.
Figures & Tables Tables and figures must be embedded within the manuscript file for submission. Tables must be editable rather than images, and every table and figure included with the manuscript must be cited in the main text.

Review Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must state that the manuscript has been seen and approved by all authors and confirm that there is no image duplication, manipulation, or visual plagiarism.
Abstract Abstract requirements are not specified.
Manuscript The manuscript must include the sections Title page, Abstract, Main text, Abbreviations, Acknowledgements, Contributions, Competing interests, References, Tables, Figures, and Author biography in that order, with optional sections included where applicable.
