Regular Manuscripts

Cover Letter Cover letter is required. Cover letter must identify the corresponding author’s name, address, phone number, fax number, and email address, and must specify the manuscript category and word count.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must be 250 to 500 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract headings must be Background, Objective(s), Study Design, Results, and Conclusion(s).
Manuscript Manuscript must be divided into clearly defined sections and organized to include Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgments, References, Tables, Figure Legends, and Figures. Highlights are mandatory and must be provided as a separate editable file containing 3 to 5 bullet points, and authors must declare any use of generative AI in manuscript preparation upon submission if AI tools were used.
References References must follow AMA format. References must be cited with superscript Arabic numerals in the text and listed in numbered order of first appearance, with journal names abbreviated according to the List of Title Word Abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Figure files and table files must be uploaded individually in separate editable files. Figures must be cited in numerical order using Arabic numerals, and each table must be on a separate page, appropriately numbered, and accompanied by a legend sufficient to understand the data without referring to the text.
