Tuberculosis is a speciality journal focusing on basic experimental research on tuberculosis. It publishes original research and reviews on host response, immunology of tuberculosis, and the molecular biology, genetics and physiology of the organism. Topics include clinical trials, diagnostics, antimicrobial resistance, immunology, leprosy, microbiology, molecular epidemiology, non-tuberculous Mycobacteria, pathogenesis and pathology, and vaccine development. The journal discourages meta-analytical submissions and does not accept case report submissions or clinical case studies.

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required for Reviews. Abstract must not exceed 250 words.
Manuscript Reviews should be divided into sections by suitable headings. Manuscript must include 1 to 7 English keywords and a generative AI declaration section before the references if AI was used in manuscript preparation, and highlights of 3 to 5 bullet points must be submitted as a separate editable file.
References References must be cited by number in square brackets. Reference list entries must be ordered by first appearance in the text, list the first 6 authors followed by 'et al.' when there are more than 6 authors, and use abbreviated journal names.
Figures & Tables Tables should be placed next to the relevant text or on separate pages at the end of the article, and figures must be supplied as separate files along with the manuscript. Tables must be editable text with captions and figures must each have a caption and be cited and numbered in sequence in the manuscript text.
