Research Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required and must be signed by all authors and co-authors. The cover letter must declare author responsibility for content accuracy, include each author's contributions and responsibilities, state any conflict of interest, and identify financial sponsors.

Abstract An abstract is required in both Turkish and English. The structured abstract must not exceed 300 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must include Introduction, Materials and Methods/Patients and Methods, Results, and Conclusion.

Manuscript The manuscript must not exceed 5000 words. The manuscript must include title, Introduction, Materials and Methods/Patients and Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgement, and References. The manuscript must include keywords in Turkish and English, with two to five keywords complying with MeSH.

References The manuscript must not exceed 40 references. References must be numbered consecutively in the order cited, consistent with Vancouver style. References must be cited in brackets at the end of sentences, list up to six authors or the first six followed by et al, and use journal abbreviations from Index Medicus or ULAKBIM/Turkish Medical Index.

Figures & Tables Each table must be prepared on a separate page, and illustration legends must be provided on a separate page. Figures and tables must be numbered in the order cited in the text, each must be cited in the text, tables must have brief titles with explanatory footnotes for nonstandard abbreviations, and figure legends must use Arabic numerals and explain identifying symbols.
