Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required. Abstract must be no more than 300 words. Abstract should be structured. Abstract should use the headings Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Manuscript must be no more than 4,000 words excluding references. Main text must be formatted with summary, key words, impacts, introduction, materials & methods, results, discussion, acknowledgements, and conflict of interest statement. Manuscript must include 3–6 keywords and three bullet points of around 100 words in total explaining the importance of the findings for a non-specialist audience.
References References should follow APA 6th edition style. In-text citations should use the author-date method, the reference list should be alphabetical by author name, and DOIs should be provided where available.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables may be included in the editable manuscript file or submitted as separate files. Figures and tables must have concise, self-contained legends or titles and footnotes that make them understandable without reference to the text.
