Original Research Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must state whether animal or human experiments were conducted, include the submission number if the manuscript was previously submitted, and confirm that each author's ORCID background and works sections are accurate and complete.
Abstract A text abstract is required, and a graphical abstract is also required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 6,000 words. Manuscript must be organized as title page, abstract, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, conclusion, references, acknowledgements, funding statement, conflict of interest section, author contributions, and figure legends. Manuscript must include keywords with no more than five, a funding statement, a conflict of interest section, author contributions for all authors, and an AI declaration for any AI-assisted copy editing.
References At least 50 references are required. References must follow Vancouver style. References must be numbered in order of appearance, cited in brackets, include DOI information, list up to six authors before using et al., and use Index Medicus journal abbreviations.
Figures & Tables No more than 10 combined tables and figures are allowed. Figures should be uploaded as separate attachments, and figure captions must be included in the manuscript text file. Figures and tables must be numbered in Arabic numerals and cited in consecutive numerical order.

Review Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must explain the relevance of the content for AAPS readership, describe the originality and timeliness of the review, give a detailed summary of each author's expertise and publication track record related to the review scope, and list three directly relevant research publications for each author.
Abstract A text abstract and a graphical abstract are required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract should be unstructured.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 7,000 words. Manuscript should be organized in the order title page, abstract, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, conclusion, references, acknowledgements, funding statement, conflict of interest section, author contributions, and figure legends. Manuscript must include no more than five keywords, a funding statement, a conflict of interest section, author contributions for all authors, and an AI declaration for any AI-assisted copy editing.
References References must include at least 100 entries. References must follow Vancouver style. References must be numbered in order of appearance, cited in brackets parenthetically, include DOI information, list up to six authors before using "et al.," and use Index Medicus journal abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Review Articles must not exceed 10 combined tables and figures. Figures should be placed within the body of the text and also uploaded as separate attachments. Figure captions must be provided in the manuscript text file rather than in the figure file, and each table and figure must be numbered in Arabic numerals and cited in consecutive order.
