Full Length

Cover Letter An electronic cover letter is required. The cover letter must state the manuscript type and provide the corresponding author’s address, telephone number, fax number, and e-mail address.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. The abstract must be no more than 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must be divided into Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion, and studies including human subjects must indicate the number of subjects included in the primary analysis in the abstract.
Manuscript The manuscript must not exceed 4200 words. The standard text must begin on the third page and include Introduction, Materials and Methods (or Patients and Methods), Results, Discussion, References, Figure Legends, and Tables. The first page must include a paragraph disclosing all financial support for the study, and any use of an LLM must be documented in the Methods or Acknowledgement sections.
References The manuscript must not exceed 50 references. References must be numbered in the order of citation in the text, with superscript reference numbers, and journal article references must list the first 3 authors followed by “et al” when there are more than 3 authors.
Figures & Tables The manuscript must not exceed 6 figures and/or tables. At initial submission, figures may be embedded in the manuscript Word file, compiled into a single PDF, or uploaded as individual figure files, but at revision images must be uploaded as separate files and figure legends must appear only at the end of the manuscript Word file. Figure files must not include figure titles or legends, and each table must have an explanatory title.

References The manuscript must not exceed 85 references. References must be numbered in the order of citation, cited in the text as superscript numerals, and list the first 3 authors followed by “et al” when there are more than 3 authors.
Figures & Tables The manuscript must not exceed 6 figures and tables combined. At initial submission, figures may be included in the manuscript file, compiled into a single PDF, or uploaded as individual figure files. Figure legends must appear at the end of the manuscript file, and tables must not be divided into sections such as Table 1a and Table 1b.

Abstract A structured abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract must be structured with designated section headings. The abstract must include the headings Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion, and studies including human subjects must state the number of subjects included in the primary analysis.
Manuscript The manuscript must not exceed 2500 words. The standard text must begin on the third page and include Introduction, Materials and Methods (or Patients and Methods), Results, Discussion, References, Figure Legends, and Tables, while Brief Reports with case report information must use Introduction, Patients and Methods, Results, and Discussion. Use of an LLM must be documented in the Methods or Acknowledgement sections, including the nature of use.
References The manuscript must not exceed 15 references. References must be numbered in the order cited in the text, with superscript citation numbers, and journal references must list the first 3 authors followed by “et al” when there are more than 3 authors.
Figures & Tables The manuscript must not exceed 3 figures and/or tables in total. At initial submission, figures may be embedded in the manuscript Word file, compiled into a single PDF, or uploaded as individual figure files, while figure legends must appear only at the end of the manuscript Word file. Figure files must not include the figure title or legend, and each table must have an explanatory title.

Manuscript Letter To The Editor manuscripts must be no more than 500 words, including references. Names of all authors must be included in the manuscript.
References Letters To The Editor may include no more than 10 references. References must be numbered in order of citation, cited in the text as superscript numerals in numerical order, and journal references must list the first 3 authors followed by et al if there are more than 3 authors.
Figures & Tables Letters commenting on a previously published article may include only 1 table or figure, while letters reporting original research or commenting on an issue in rheumatology may include no more than 2 tables or figures. At initial submission, figures may be embedded in the manuscript file, compiled into a single PDF, or uploaded as individual figure files, but at revision they must be uploaded as separate files. Figure legends must appear only at the end of the manuscript file, and each table must have an explanatory title.
