Original Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required when submitting possibly duplicate published material. The cover letter must explain why any possibly duplicate published material is not a duplicate publication.
Abstract A structured abstract is required for Original Articles. Abstract must not exceed 400 words. Abstract must be structured into four labeled paragraphs. Abstract headings must be Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Original Article text must be 4000 to 8000 words. Main body must include Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, and Discussion sections. Manuscript must include 3 to 8 keywords, Acknowledgments, Funding, and Conflicts of Interest sections, and the Methods section must include a statement on ethics committee permission and ethical practices.
References Original Articles may include up to 80 references. References must use American Medical Association (AMA) style. References must be numbered in citation order, include all authors and article titles, and use Index Medicus journal abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Original Articles may include up to 10 figures and tables in total. Tables may be included in the main body file after the References section, but figures must not be embedded in the main body file and must be uploaded separately. Tables must be submitted as editable word-processing files rather than photographs.

Review Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required when submitting possibly duplicate published material with a statement explaining why the manuscript is not a duplicate publication. Cover letter must explain why any submitted possibly duplicate published material is not a duplicate publication.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 400 words. Abstract may be structured or unstructured.

Figures & Tables Manuscript may include up to 10 figures and tables in total. Tables may be included in the main body file after the References section, and figures must not be embedded in the main body file and must be uploaded as separate files. Tables must be numbered in Arabic numerals and cited in numerical order, and each figure must have a corresponding legend.
