Original Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must include the corresponding author’s contact details, manuscript title, manuscript type, a brief paragraph on the work’s significance, a statement of originality, any conflict of interest, the names and affiliations and contact information of at least three qualified reviewers, and any AI-assistance disclosure with the tool name, version, and prompt used.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 300 words. Abstract must be unstructured. Abstract must include keywords and be followed by no more than six keywords.
Manuscript Original Articles must be organized as Title page, Abstract including Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgments optional, References, Tables, Figure legends, and Figures. Manuscript must include a conflict of interest statement and disclose any AI-assisted tools in the Methods section and Acknowledgments section with the tool name, version, and prompt used.
References References must follow the Uniform Requirements style based largely on an American National Standards Institute style adapted by the NLM. References must be numbered consecutively in order of first mention, cited in the text with Arabic numerals in parentheses, use MEDLINE journal title abbreviations, list all authors when there are six or fewer, and list the first six authors followed by et al when there are seven or more.
Figures & Tables Tables may be embedded in the manuscript after the References section or submitted as separate .doc files, while figures must be submitted as separate files. Tables must be numbered consecutively and include a brief title, and figure legends must be provided on a separate page after the tables and numbered to match figures cited consecutively in the text.

Reviews

Manuscript Short Communication manuscripts must not exceed 2,000 words. Short Communication manuscripts must include an introductory paragraph highlighting the significance of the findings and a concluding paragraph summarizing the key outcomes and suggesting future directions. Abstract must be followed by no more than six keywords, and the manuscript must include a conflict of interest statement with funding or related interests disclosed within the manuscript and AI use disclosed in the Acknowledgments and Methods sections.
References References must follow the Uniform Requirements style based largely on an American National Standards Institute style adapted by the NLM.
