Research Article

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract A structured abstract is required for Research Articles. Abstract must not exceed 150 words. Abstract must use the IMRaD format. Abstract headings must be INTRODUCTION, METHODS, RESULTS, and DISCUSSION in uppercase followed by a colon and space.
Manuscript Introduction must not exceed 650 words and Discussion must not exceed 1500 words. Manuscript must include Background, Methods, Results, Discussion, References, Acknowledgements/Conflicts/Funding Sources, Keywords, a Research in Context section, and a title page. Highlights are mandatory in a separate file with 3 to 5 bullet points, the manuscript must include 5 to 15 keywords, Acknowledgments, Sources of Funding, and Disclosures must appear as three distinct sections, and any use of AI or AI-assisted technologies must be disclosed in the Methods or Acknowledgments section.
References Research Articles may include no more than 75 references. References must use AMA Manual of Style 10th Edition standard reference format #3 Vancouver. References must be cited in the text using bracketed numbers and listed in order of appearance, with journal names abbreviated and the first six authors followed by "et al."
Figures & Tables Research Articles may include no more than eight figures, boxes, or tables. Figures and tables must be uploaded as separate files and cited in the body of the manuscript. Figure captions must be supplied separately, tables must be in editable format, and figure and table legends must include sample sizes where applicable.
