Research Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required. Abstract must be 150 to 250 words long. Abstract must be structured.
Manuscript Manuscript must contain only the following sections: Title Page, Abstract and Key Terms, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgments (if any), and References, and it must not include a conclusion section. Manuscript must include key terms, a disclosure statement, and relevant declarations under the heading "Statements and Declarations," with any use of a large language model documented in the Methods section.
References Citations must be numbered in square brackets. Reference list entries must be numbered consecutively and include only works cited in the text that have been published or accepted for publication, with full DOI links included where available.
Figures & Tables Figures should be limited to no more than 8. Figures and tables may be incorporated into the body of the text or included at the end of the text after the references, but figures should be submitted within the body of the text unless file size causes upload problems. Figures and tables must be numbered with Arabic numerals and cited in the text in consecutive numerical order, and each must have a caption.

References References must be cited in the text using numbered citations in square brackets. Reference list entries must be numbered consecutively and include only works cited in the text that have been published or accepted for publication, with full DOI links included when available.
Figures & Tables Figures should be limited to no more than 8. Figures and tables may be incorporated into the body of the text or included at the end of the text after the references, although figures should be submitted within the body of the text unless file size causes upload problems. Tables and figures must be numbered in Arabic numerals, cited in consecutive numerical order in the text, and accompanied by captions, with approximate placement indicated in the text if they are placed at the end.
