Full Reviews

Cover Letter Unsolicited Full Reviews must be accompanied by a detailed cover letter. For unsolicited Full Reviews, the cover letter must provide a concise topic overview of no more than 1 page (~500 words), explain the timeliness of the topic, include at least 10 recent references on important new developments, and summarize each author's expertise and contributions.
Abstract An abstract is required for Full Reviews. Abstract must be 150 to 250 words.
Manuscript Full Reviews should be 4,000–8,000 words excluding references and figure legends. Full Reviews should briefly introduce the background and importance of the field, critically summarize recent developments, and conclude with a strong take-home message and future directions. The manuscript must include 4 to 6 keywords, a disclosure statement, a statement identifying who conceived the article, performed the literature search and data analysis, and drafted and/or critically revised the work, and a Declarations section before the reference list, with any non-applicable headings marked 'Not applicable' and any use of an LLM documented in the Methods section or a suitable alternative section.
References Full Reviews may include up to 150 references. Citations must be numbered in square brackets in the text, the reference list must be numbered consecutively and include only cited published or accepted works, and DOIs should be given as full DOI links where available.
Figures & Tables Full Reviews must include a minimum of four figures or illustrations. Figures should be submitted within the body of the text, but large figures may be submitted separately if file size causes upload problems. Figures and tables must be numbered with Arabic numerals and cited in consecutive numerical order, each table must have a caption, each figure must have a concise descriptive caption provided in the manuscript text file rather than inside the figure, and figure parts should be labeled with lowercase letters.
