How long does it take to publish?
Papers are normally reviewed within 3-4 weeks of submission. Appeals must be submitted within 4 weeks of the decision. Authors have 3 weeks to accept or decline a transfer offer to a sister journal. Page proof corrections must be returned within 2 working days. Advance Access articles are published online soon after acceptance.

A cover letter addressed to the editor is required as a separate Word file. It should declare whether the manuscript or any part of it has been previously published or submitted elsewhere, whether all co-authors have read and approved the submission, and agreement to pay approximately $600 per color figure if color figures are submitted.
