Original Research Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. It must briefly summarize the submitted work and study, and confirm originality, lack of prior submission or acceptance elsewhere, approval by all authors, ethics approval and written informed consent where applicable, and disclosure of any competing interests.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract should usually be 150-300 words. The abstract must be unstructured and continuous. No subsection headings such as Objectives, Methods, Results or Conclusions may be used.
Manuscript Original Research Articles must contain Abstract, Introduction, Materials and methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgements, Funding, Availability of data and materials, Authors' contributions, Ethics approval and consent to participate, Patient consent for publication, Competing interests, References, Figure legends and Tables. A Use of artificial intelligence tools section is required only when AI tools are used.
References References follow a numbered Vancouver-style format. References must be numbered consecutively in order of appearance, cited in the text by numbers in parentheses, use NLM journal title abbreviations, list authors as they appear with only the first 10 when there are more than 10 followed by et al., give inclusive page numbers, and omit full stops after initials or abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Figure legends must be listed in the text document separate from the figure files, and each table should be submitted as a separate Word file. Figures and tables must be clearly labeled, with figure legends giving a brief title and panel descriptions and tables using Roman numerals with a short title and any abbreviations defined below the table.

Review Articles

Review Articles must include Acknowledgements, Funding, Availability of data and materials, Authors' contributions, Ethics approval and consent to participate, Patient consent for publication, Competing interests, References, Figure legends and Tables, and a Use of artificial intelligence tools section only when AI tools are used.
References References must be numbered consecutively in the order they appear in the main text and journal titles must use NLM abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Figure legends should be listed as part of the text document and separate from the figure files, and each table should be submitted as a separate Word file. Figures and tables should be clearly labeled, with figure legends listed individually, and the table section must be present among the required manuscript components.
