Annals of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine is the official journal of the French Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and publishes peer-reviewed worldwide clinical and basic research in physical and rehabilitation medicine. It covers evaluation methods for motor, sensory, cognitive and visceral impairments, musculoskeletal disorders and pain, disabilities in adults and children, and rehabilitation processes across orthopaedic, rheumatological, neurological, cardiovascular, pulmonary and urological diseases. The journal publishes original clinical and research articles, epidemiological studies, new methodological clinical approaches, review articles, editorials and guidelines, and releases 8 issues per year.

Original Articles
Cover Letter
A covering letter is required. The covering letter must describe the article type, specify the main text and abstract length and the number of tables and figures where applicable, include a paragraph on the study strengths, provide arguments for any absence of database registration, state that the work is not under consideration elsewhere, and declare that all authors have read and approved the submitted manuscript.
Abstract
A structured abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 300 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract should use the headings Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusion(s).
Manuscript
The main text must not exceed 5000 words excluding the abstract, figures, tables, references, and additional material. The manuscript should be divided into clearly defined sections and the introduction should ideally end with the study question or questions in its last paragraph. The submission must include 3 to 5 highlights in a separate editable file, up to 6 keywords immediately after the abstract, a declaration of interest statement in the title page file, an abbreviations list on the first page, and a generative AI declaration section when applicable.
References
The manuscript must include no more than 50 references. References must be cited by numbers in square brackets. The reference list must be numbered in order of first appearance in the text, journal names must be abbreviated according to the List of Title Word Abbreviations, and references with more than 6 authors must list the first 6 followed by 'et al.'.
Figures & Tables
The manuscript must include no more than 6 figures and/or tables. Tables must be submitted individually as separate editable Word table files rather than embedded in the manuscript, and figure captions must be provided separately. Figures and tables must be numbered consecutively in the order they are cited in the text, and tables must be submitted as editable text rather than images.
