Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required with each submission. The cover letter must explain the paper's significance and fit to the journal, include statements that the manuscript is not under consideration or published elsewhere and that all authors approved the submission, and for expanded conference papers disclose that status and describe changes from the original paper.
Abstract A structured abstract is required for this article type. The abstract should be around 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Background/Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript The manuscript must include front matter of Title, Author list, Affiliations, Abstract, and Keywords; main sections of Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and optional Conclusions; and back matter of Supplementary Materials, Author Contributions, Funding, Data Availability Statement, Acknowledgments, Conflicts of Interest, and References. The manuscript must include three to ten keywords, a short author-contributions paragraph for multi-author research articles, and where applicable disclose generative artificial intelligence use in the Materials and Methods section.
References References must be numbered in order of appearance, cited in square brackets before punctuation, listed individually at the end, and include full bibliographic details including full title.
Figures & Tables Figures, schemes, and tables should be inserted into the main text close to their first citation, and figures and schemes must also be provided during submission in a single zip archive. Figures, schemes, and tables must be numbered in order of appearance and accompanied by a short explanatory title and caption.

Research Articles

Review Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required with the submission. The cover letter must explain the paper's significance and fit to the journal and include statements that the manuscript is not under consideration or published elsewhere and that all authors approved the submission.
Abstract An abstract is required as part of the front matter for review manuscripts. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses should have a structured abstract of around 250 words. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses must use a structured abstract, while other review articles may include an abstract without a specified structure. Structured abstracts for systematic reviews and meta-analyses must contain the headings Background/Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Review manuscripts should include front matter with Title, Author list, Affiliations, Abstract, and Keywords, a logically organized literature review within specific sections and optional subsections, and back matter with Author Contributions, Acknowledgments, Conflicts of Interest, and References, while systematic reviews and meta-analyses should use the same structure as research articles. Three to ten keywords must be included after the abstract.
References References may be submitted in any consistent style at initial submission. References must be numbered in order of appearance, cited in square brackets before punctuation, and listed individually at the end of the manuscript with full bibliographic details including full titles.

Feature Paper
