Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required with each manuscript submission. The cover letter must explain the paper's significance and fit to the journal scope and include statements that the manuscript is not under consideration or published elsewhere and that all authors approved the submission.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract should be about 200 words maximum. Abstract must be a single paragraph written in a structured style without headings.
Manuscript Article manuscripts must include Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and optional Conclusions, with back matter including Supplementary Materials, Author Contributions, Funding, Data Availability Statement, Acknowledgments, Conflicts of Interest, and References. Three to ten keywords must follow the abstract, a short author-contributions paragraph is required for multi-author research articles, and any use of generative AI must be disclosed in the Materials and Methods and Acknowledgments sections.
References References may be submitted in any citation style if used consistently throughout the manuscript. References must include author names, source title, article or chapter title where required, year, volume and issue where appropriate, and pagination.
Figures & Tables Figures, schemes, and tables must be inserted into the main text close to their first citation. Figures, schemes, and tables must be numbered in order and each must have a short explanatory title and caption.

Review

Cover Letter A cover letter is required for Review submissions. The cover letter must explain the paper’s significance and fit to the journal, include the specified originality and author-approval statements, and for Review articles also provide a brief description of the authors’ academic background and research areas plus a list of all authors’ publications related to the review topic.
Abstract An abstract is required for Review manuscripts. The abstract should be about 200 words maximum. The abstract must be a single paragraph written in a structured style without headings. The abstract must cover background, methods, results, and conclusion without using headings.
Manuscript Review manuscripts must comprise front matter with Title, Author list, Affiliations, Abstract, and Keywords; a logically organized literature review within sections and optional subsections such as Introduction, Relevant Sections, Discussion, Conclusions, and Future Directions; and back matter with Author Contributions, Acknowledgments, Conflicts of Interest, and References. Review manuscripts must not present new unpublished data and must include Keywords, an Author Contributions statement clarifying who handled ideation, literature search and/or data analysis, and drafting and revision, plus disclosure of any generative AI use in the Materials and Methods and Acknowledgments sections.
References References may be in any style at submission as long as formatting is consistent throughout. References must consistently include author names, the journal or book title, the article or chapter title where required, the year of publication, the volume and issue where appropriate, and pagination.

Systematic Review

Manuscript Systematic reviews must use the same structure as research articles and clearly detail the Methods section. The manuscript must include three to ten keywords, a contributorship statement clarifying ideation, literature search and/or data analysis, and drafting and revision roles, an author contributions statement, disclosure of any generative AI use in the Materials and Methods and Acknowledgments sections, a statement of reporting-guideline compliance in the Methods section, and a flow diagram in the main text or supplementary materials.
References References may be in any style at submission if formatting is consistent throughout. References must be formatted consistently and include author names, journal or book title, article or chapter title where required, year, volume and issue where appropriate, and pagination.

Brief Report

Manuscript Brief Reports have a structure similar to an Article and must include a detailed Materials and Methods section to ensure reproducibility. The manuscript must include three to ten keywords after the abstract, an author contributorship statement, a conflicts of interest section, and declarations of any generative AI use in the Materials and Methods and Acknowledgments sections.
References References may be submitted in any citation style if formatting is consistent throughout. References must include author names, source title, article or chapter title where required, year, volume and issue where appropriate, and pagination.
