Biochemical Pharmacology

Biochemical Pharmacology publishes original research findings and review articles on cellular and tissue functions at the biochemical and molecular levels, drug- and genetic-induced modification of cellular phenotypes, and the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of xenobiotics, biologics, and drugs. The journal covers cellular biology and cellular, tissue, organ, and whole animal pharmacology, with emphasis on mechanistic, biochemical, and molecular studies relevant to drug discovery, development, safety, and efficacy.

Full-Length Research Papers

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript Manuscript must be divided into clearly defined sections using headings and Full-Length Research Papers must include a rationale for the choice of the compound or drug studied and the concentrations or doses used. Manuscript must include 1 to 7 keywords in English, a graphical abstract submitted as a separate file, a declaration of competing interests, and an AI disclosure statement before the references if generative AI was used in manuscript preparation.
References References may be submitted in any consistent style or format. References cited in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa, and references must include author names, source title, article or chapter title, year, and volume and page or article numbers where applicable.
Figures & Tables Tables must be placed next to the relevant text or on separate pages at the end of the article, while figures must be uploaded as separate files with the manuscript. Tables must be editable text rather than images and both tables and figures must be cited in the text, numbered consecutively, and provided with captions.
