Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required and should be limited to approximately 100 words. Abstract should be limited to approximately 100 words.
Manuscript Manuscript sections should generally follow the order Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion, and Methods must not appear in a separate section at the end. Manuscript must include a separate Disclosures section after Funding and any Acknowledgement, using the statement "The authors declare no conflicts of interest." when applicable.
References References and notes must be numbered consecutively in order of first citation, each source must have its own number, and references must list the first three authors followed by et al. if additional authors are present.
Figures & Tables Figures should be included directly in the document and figures and tables must be called out in the text in the order they appear. All illustrations must be numbered consecutively with Arabic numbers, and tables with multiple parts must be split into separate numbered tables rather than labeled with lettered subparts.
