Original Research Papers

Abstract A structured abstract is required for Original Research Papers. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured using the headings Objective, Methods, Findings, and Conclusion. Abstract must use the headings Objective, Methods, Findings, and Conclusion, and intervention trials must provide the registration number at the end of the abstract.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 3000 words, excluding the abstract, tables, boxes, figures, references, and appendices. Manuscript must include two paragraphs stating what was already known about the topic and what new knowledge the manuscript contributes. Manuscript must disclose any use of artificial intelligence specifying its application and purpose.
References References must not exceed 50. References must follow ICMJE recommendations. Reference citations must be numbered consecutively in parentheses or superscript as they appear in the text, and URLs must include the year, month, and day accessed.
Figures & Tables Figures, tables, and boxes must be numbered consecutively and used only to enhance understanding rather than repeat information already clear in the text.
