Chemico-Biological Interactions is a journal of molecular, cellular and biochemical toxicology that publishes research reports and review articles on the molecular, cellular, and biochemical basis of toxicologically relevant outcomes. It emphasizes toxicological mechanisms arising from interactions between chemicals and biological systems, including endpoints such as carcinogenesis, mutagenesis, respiratory toxicology, neurotoxicology, reproductive and developmental toxicology, and immunotoxicology.

Papers Reporting Results Of Original Mechanistic Research

Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript Article must be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections. The manuscript must include 1 to 7 keywords in English, provide article highlights as a separate editable file with 3 to 5 bullet points, and include an AI declaration section before the references if generative AI was used in manuscript preparation.
References References must be cited using numbered square-bracket citations. References must be numbered in order of appearance and include author names, source title information, year, and volume, article number, or page range where applicable.
Figures & Tables Figures must be uploaded as separate files with the manuscript, while tables are submitted as editable text. Tables must be editable text with captions and citation in the text, and figures must be numbered, cited in the text, and supplied with captions.
