Review Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required and must state the article type, explain the paper's importance and interest to the journal's readership, briefly describe the review's coverage, and include any other pertinent information. The cover letter must identify the article type, outline why the paper is important, briefly describe what is covered in the review, explain why it would interest the journal’s readership, and include any other pertinent information.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must be 150 to 250 words.
Manuscript Manuscript must be up to 8000 words, excluding the abstract, references, figure legends, and table captions. The manuscript must include Key Points beneath the abstract, a Declarations section, documentation of any LLM use in a suitable manuscript section, a statement of author contributions, a statement identifying who conceived the article, performed the literature search and data analysis, and drafted or critically revised the work, and a disclosure statement.
References There is no limit on the number of references. Citations must use numbered references in square brackets. References must be numbered consecutively, include only cited published or accepted works, and include full DOI links when available.
Figures & Tables There is no limit on the number of figures or tables. Figures should be submitted within the body of the text and uploaded separately only if file size causes upload problems. Figures and tables must be numbered with Arabic numerals and cited in consecutive numerical order, each table must have a caption, and each figure must have a concise descriptive caption included in the manuscript text file.

Systematic Review

Abstract Abstract is required and may be up to 450 words if needed for full compliance with relevant reporting guidelines. Abstract may be increased to up to 450 words if needed for full compliance with relevant reporting guidelines.
Manuscript Systematic Review manuscript must be no more than 10,000 words, excluding the abstract, references, figure legends, and table captions. Manuscript must include a Declarations section, two to three Key Points bullet points beneath the abstract, disclosure statements, and any systematic review registration number in the Methods section and at the end of the abstract if registered.
References There is no limit on the number of references. References must use numbered citations in square brackets. Reference list entries must be numbered consecutively and include only works cited in the text that have been published or accepted for publication.
Figures & Tables There is no limit on the number of figures or tables. Figures should be submitted within the body of the text and uploaded separately only if file size causes upload problems. Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must be 150 to 250 words, but may be increased to 450 words if needed for full compliance with relevant reporting guidelines. Abstract must be structured.
Manuscript Manuscript must be up to 6000 words, excluding the abstract, references, figure legends, and table captions. Original clinical research must list the trial registration number at the end of the abstract. Manuscript must include a Declarations section, two to three non-technical Key Points beneath the abstract, a Data Availability Statement explaining access to supporting data with links or citations to archived datasets, a disclosure statement, and documentation of any LLM use in the Methods section or suitable alternative part of the manuscript.
References There is no limit on the number of references. References must be cited in the text with numbers in square brackets and listed consecutively in numerical order, including only cited works that have been published or accepted for publication.
Figures & Tables There is no limit on the number of figures or tables. Figures should be submitted within the body of the text and submitted separately only if file size causes upload problems.
