Current Opinion in Hematology is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:

Illustrated Review

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract A written abstract is required. Abstract must be no more than 200 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Purpose of review, Recent findings, and Summary.
Manuscript Manuscript must be approximately 2,500 words excluding references. Manuscript must include a title page, abstract, 3-5 keywords, a main body compiled of illustrated panels, and 3-5 key bullet points after the main review. Manuscript must include 3-5 keywords, 3-5 one-sentence key bullet points, separate acknowledgements, financial support and sponsorship, and conflicts of interest paragraphs, and AI tool use may be disclosed in the Acknowledgements.
References References must use Vancouver style with numerical citation sequence. References must be numbered consecutively in citation order and list the first three authors or all authors if there are four or fewer.
Figures & Tables Reviews are encouraged to include up to four additional elements as a combination of figures and tables. Each file must be submitted separately, with a single Word file containing all non-panel content and either the panels in that file if in Word format or panels uploaded separately if provided as figure files. The main body must consist of consecutively labelled portrait-layout illustrated panels, and figure titles and legends must be provided in the main text following the references.

The manuscript must include 3-5 keywords, 3-5 one-sentence key bullet points after the main text, and acknowledgements, financial support and sponsorship, and conflicts of interest paragraphs with 'none' stated where applicable.
References At least 80% of the references should be from the review period of the past year to 18 months. References must be in Vancouver style in numerical sequence. References must list the first three authors or all authors if there are four or fewer, and references from the review period must be bulleted and annotated to indicate their importance rather than summarize content.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables must be submitted as separate files and not embedded within the text. Figures and tables must be cited in the text, figures and tables must be marked as original or previously published with full source details for previously published items, previously published figures must be unadapted, and figure text must use Arial or Helvetica size 7 with non-text abbreviations defined in the legend.
