Submission Instructions

Current Opinion In HIV And AIDS is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:

Review Article

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Review Articles must include a structured abstract. The abstract must be no longer than 200 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Purpose of review, Recent findings, and Summary, and it must not contain references.
Manuscript Review Articles should be approximately 2,500 words excluding references. The manuscript must include an introduction, headings and titled paragraphs to subdivide the text, and a conclusion paragraph. The manuscript must include 3-5 keywords, 3-5 key bullet points after the main text, and an acknowledgements section with separate paragraphs for Acknowledgements, Financial support and sponsorship, and Conflicts of interest.
References At least 80% of the references must be from the period reviewed and published in the past 12-18 months. References must use Vancouver style in numerical sequence. References must list the first three authors or all authors if there are four or fewer, and important recent references should be marked with one or two bullets and annotated.
Figures & Tables Review Articles are encouraged to include up to four additional elements in total as a combination of figures and tables. Figures and tables must not be embedded within the text and must be submitted as separate files, while figure titles and legends must be included in the main body of the text following the references. All figures and tables must be cited in the text, each figure must have a title and full legend, each table must have an appropriate title, and all illustrations must be labelled as figures.
