Submission Instructions

Current Pain and Headache Reports is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must be 150 to 250 words.
Manuscript Manuscript must include 4 to 6 keywords, a Declarations section before the reference list, documentation of any large language model use in the Methods section or another suitable section, a disclosure statement, and a contribution statement specifying who conceived the article, performed the literature search and data analysis, and drafted and critically revised the work.
References In-text citations must use numbers in square brackets and the reference list must contain only cited published or accepted works numbered consecutively, with journal names abbreviated according to ISSN standards or given in full if unsure and DOI links included where available.
Figures & Tables Figures should be submitted within the body of the text unless file size causes upload problems, in which case large figures should be submitted separately from the text. Tables and figures must be numbered with Arabic numerals in consecutive citation order, each table must have a caption, and each figure must have a concise descriptive caption included in the manuscript text file rather than in the figure file.
