Original Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Original Articles must include a structured abstract. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must include the headings Purpose, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 5,000 words. Manuscript must include 4 to 6 keywords, a disclosure statement, a data availability statement explaining access to supporting data with links or citations to publicly archived datasets, a section headed 'Statements and Declarations' after the References section including Funding and Competing Interests statements, and documentation of any large language model use in the Methods section or another suitable section if no Methods section is available.
References References must not exceed 60. References must use name-and-year citation style. Reference list must include only cited published or accepted works, be alphabetized by the first author's last name, include full DOI links when available, and use standard journal title abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Original Articles may include no more than 6 tables and figures combined. Figures should be submitted within the body of the text, and figure captions must be included in the manuscript text file rather than in the figure files. Tables and figures must be numbered with Arabic numerals, cited in consecutive numerical order, and each must have a caption, with figure parts denoted by lowercase letters.
