Original Research Article

Cover Letter Cover letter is required only if writing or editing assistance from a third party was used or if submission is made by someone who is not an author. Cover letter must disclose any third-party writing or editing assistance and whether the submission is being made on behalf of the authors by a non-author.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must be no more than 250 words. Abstract must be structured. The abstract must concisely state the purpose of the research, major findings, and conclusions.
Manuscript Manuscript must include an introduction, a well-reported methodology, results, and a discussion of the results in the context of the published literature. Manuscript must include at least 5 keywords after the abstract and include Author Contributions and a 'Statements and Declarations' section, with 'Not applicable' stated under any declaration heading that does not apply.
References References must follow Sage Vancouver style. Every in-text citation must have a corresponding reference list entry and vice versa, with identical spelling and year in corresponding citations.
Figures & Tables Figures, charts, and tables created in Word should be included in the main text, while figures and other files created outside Word must be submitted separately with a placeholder note in the text. Figures must be numbered consecutively and include a number and title, and tables must be labeled as tables with a number, title, header row and/or column, and be editable within Word rather than provided as images.

Manuscript Letters to the Editor must not exceed 500 words. Letters to the Editor should consist of one or two paragraphs, must not include subheadings, and should not include research material. At least 5 keywords must be listed after the abstract, and the submission must include an Author Contributions section and a 'Statements and Declarations' section with 'Not applicable' used where needed.
References Letters to the Editor must include fewer than 8 references. References must follow Sage Vancouver style. References must use one author followed by et al. and must omit titles.
Figures & Tables Letters should not include figures. Figures and tables created in Word should be included in the main text, while figures and other files created outside Word must be submitted separately with a placeholder note in the text.
