Drug Discovery Today is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:

Short Reviews

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.

Abstract An abstract is required for Short Reviews. The abstract must be 100 words.

Manuscript Short Reviews must be 3500 words. The manuscript must include a 25–30-word teaser, 4 or 5 highlight statements of no more than 85 characters including spaces, 1 to 7 keywords in English, and a generative AI declaration section before the references if AI was used in manuscript preparation.

References Short Reviews must not exceed 60 references. References must be cited with superscript Arabic numerals in order of appearance and listed numerically, giving all authors’ names and initials unless there are more than 6 authors, in which case the first author should be followed by et al.

Figures & Tables Short Reviews must not exceed 4 figures, boxes, or tables. Figures must be uploaded separately from the manuscript, and tables must be submitted as editable text. Tables must be editable text with captions, and each figure or table must be cited and numbered consecutively in the text.

References References must not exceed 100. References must be cited in the text using superscript Arabic numerals in order of appearance, listed in the reference list in the same order, and give all authors’ names followed by initials without punctuation unless there are more than 6 authors, in which case the first author should be followed by et al.
