Original Research Papers

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must state that all authors have read and approved the manuscript and believe it represents honest work, and it must identify any supplementary files being submitted and why.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract headings must be Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Manuscript must include an Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion/Conclusions, and original research must present clear methodology. Manuscript must include up to 8 MeSH-compliant keywords, a Plain Language Summary of up to 500 words, contributions, disclosure/conflicts of interest, acknowledgements, funding, and disclosure of any AI use.
References References must use AMA style. Reference entries should include DOI numbers if available, URLs must include a last accessed date, and personal communications, papers in preparation, and unpublished observations must be cited only in the text and not listed in the references.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables must be included in the manuscript file and placed together at the end of the text. Each figure and table must be cited in the text and accompanied by a caption.
