Original Articles

Cover Letter Cover letter is required. Cover letter must confirm that the submission is on behalf of all authors and that all submitted figures, images, illustrations, tables, and videos are entirely the authors' own work with all rights of use held by the authors and no third-party rights.
Abstract Abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract headings must be Background and study aims, Patients and methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Main text must not exceed 3500 words. Manuscript must contain a structured abstract, introduction, patients/materials and methods, results, discussion, reference list, figure legends, and tables, with all sections presented together in one Word file. For clinical studies, the study design must be stated explicitly.
References References must not exceed 35. References must be cited by Arabic numbers in square brackets, listed in order of citation, and for works with more than four authors the first three authors must be followed by "et al.".
Figures & Tables A maximum of 6 tables and figures is permitted in total. Graphics must be uploaded in separate files, while figure legends and tables must be included in the main Word file.

Systematic Reviews

Figures & Tables Systematic Reviews may include a combined total of 6 figures and tables. For initial review, figures and tables may be included in a single manuscript file, with figure legends at the end of the main document and tables inserted at the end in editable format.

Innovations And Brief Communications

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must declare any overlap with other papers, confirm submission on behalf of all authors with their participation, and confirm that all submitted figures, images, illustrations, tables, and videos are wholly original author-created work for which the authors hold all rights.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 200 words. Abstract must be structured as for Original Articles.
Manuscript Main text must not exceed 2000 words and the manuscript must not exceed five pages. Abstract and main text must be structured as for Original Articles.
References References must not exceed 20. References must be cited with Arabic numbers in square brackets, listed in order of citation, and for works with more than four authors the first three authors must be followed by "et al.".
Figures & Tables The combined total number of figures and tables must not exceed 6. For initial review, figures and tables may be included in a single manuscript file, with figure legends at the end of the main document and tables inserted at the end of the main document.

Letters To The Editor

Cover Letter Cover letter is required and must confirm that all authors approved the submission and that all figures, tables, illustrations, and videos are entirely original works owned by the authors with no third-party rights. Cover letter must state that the corresponding author submits on behalf of all authors and that all submitted figures, images, illustrations, tables, and videos are wholly original works owned by the authors without any third-party rights.
Abstract Abstract is not required, and "n/a" must be entered into the abstract field during submission.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 300 words. Letter must not contain unpublished data.
References References must not exceed 5. References must be cited with Arabic numbers in square brackets, listed in order of citation, the referenced article must appear as the first reference, and references with more than four authors must list the first three followed by "et al.".
Figures & Tables Combined total number of figures and tables must not exceed 6. For initial review, figures and tables may be included in a single manuscript file, with figure legends at the end of the main document and tables inserted at the end of the main document.

Abstract Abstract requirements are not specified.
Manuscript Video should be prepared using the available slide template.
References References must be cited by Arabic numbers in square brackets, listed in order of citation, and for works with more than four authors the first three authors must be followed by "et al.".
Figures & Tables Combined total number of figures and tables must not exceed 6. For initial review, manuscript may be uploaded as one single document including tables and figures, with figure legends at the end of the main document and tables inserted at the end of the main document in editable format. Each video or video sequence requires a legend of no more than 40 words, and any text or audio narration appearing in the video must also be submitted in a separate Word file.
