Research Article

Cover Letter A cover letter must be provided. Cover letter must explain why the manuscript is suitable for publication and disclose any third-party writing or editing assistance or any non-author who submitted on the authors’ behalf.
Abstract An unstructured abstract is required for Research Articles. Abstract must be no more than 200 words. Abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript Research Articles should be 4,000-4,500 words. The main manuscript should generally include Abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, Statements and Declarations, and References. Manuscript must include at least 5 keywords after the abstract, a Plain Language Summary after the abstract, and a 'Statements and Declarations' section at the end of the article with all required subheadings included even when marked 'Not applicable'.
References References must follow AMA style. References must be cited in consecutive numerical order using superscript Arabic numerals, and the reference list must list all authors unless there are more than 6, in which case the first 3 are followed by 'et al.'.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables created in Word should be included in the main text, while figures created outside Word should be submitted separately with a placeholder in the text. Figures must be numbered consecutively, and tables must be labeled as tables with a number, title, and header row or column and be editable within Word rather than submitted as images.

Review Article

Manuscript Review Articles must not exceed 5,000 words. Include at least 5 keywords after the abstract, a Plain Language Summary after the abstract, and a section headed 'Statements and Declarations' at the end of the article.

Manuscript Letters to the Editor unrelated to a specific article must not exceed 500 words, while those pertaining to a recently published or concurrently published journal article must not exceed 800 words. Letters to the Editor must be written in a professional tone and must not include research material.
References Letters to the Editor unrelated to a specific article may include no more than 3 references, while those pertaining to a recently published or concurrently published journal article may include no more than 5 references. References must follow AMA style. References must be cited in consecutive numerical order using superscript Arabic numerals, and in the reference list all authors must be listed unless there are more than 6, in which case the first 3 must be followed by "et al."
