Clinical Research Article

Cover Letter Use of AI must be disclosed in the cover letter at submission, and the cover letter must indicate if an editor of EP Europace is a co-author or contributor. Cover letter must disclose any use of AI and indicate if an editor of EP Europace is a co-author on or has otherwise contributed to the manuscript.
Abstract A text abstract with headings is required. The abstract must be structured. Abstract headings must be Background and Aims, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 5000 words. Text should be arranged as Title page, Structured Abstract and Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgements, References, Appendices, Tables, and Figure legends. Manuscript must include keywords, a graphical abstract, and a 'What's New?' section of two to six bullet points with a total maximum of 150 words, and any use of AI must be explained in the Methods or Acknowledgements section.
References References may include up to 100 citations. References should be in Vancouver style. References must be cited with Arabic numerals in order of appearance, include complete bibliographic information, use Index Medicus journal abbreviations, and list the first six authors followed by et al. when there are more than six authors.
Figures & Tables Tables and figures included in the manuscript file must appear at the end of the text on separate sheets and must not be embedded in the text. All images in the main article require alt text placed directly under the relevant figure legend and prefixed with 'Alt text:'.
