Review Article

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must be 120–160 words. The abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript The manuscript must be 2,500–5,000 words. All articles must include a minimum of 3 keywords and a maximum of 7 keywords.
References The manuscript may include a maximum of 80 references. References must be numbered in order of first mention using superscript and listed numerically at the end of the article.
Figures & Tables The manuscript may include a maximum of 5 figures and tables. Figures must be uploaded separately to Editorial Manager and not included within the anonymised manuscript file, while tables and their titles or captions must be included at the end of the anonymised manuscript file. Figures and tables referenced in the text must have captions or titles, figures must be supplied as separate image files, and tables longer than 2 pages must be uploaded as supplementary material.

Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must be 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion.
Manuscript The manuscript must be 2,500–5,000 words. The manuscript must use the headings Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion. The manuscript must include a clinical perspectives summary in brief bullet points of no more than 150 words, and Original Research submissions must describe the contributions of all authors using the CRediT Taxonomy.
References The manuscript may include a maximum of 100 references. Superscript numbered citation style is required. References must be numbered in order of first mention and listed numerically at the end of the article, with the first three authors followed by et al. unless there are four or fewer authors, and each reference must include a DOI and PubMed ID.
Figures & Tables Articles may include a maximum of 5 figures and tables. Figures must be uploaded as separate image files and must not be included within the anonymised manuscript file, while tables and their titles or captions must be included at the end of the anonymised manuscript file. Figures and tables require references in the text, figure titles and table titles must be no more than 10 words, abbreviations in captions must be spelled out in full, tables longer than 2 pages must be uploaded as supplementary material, and edited or previously published figures and tables require original-source acknowledgement and written permission.

References The manuscript may include a maximum of 100 references. References must be numbered in order of first mention using superscript and listed numerically at the end of the article.
Figures & Tables Articles may include a maximum of 5 figures and tables, and tables longer than 2 pages must be uploaded as supplementary material. Figures must be uploaded as separate image files and not included within the anonymised manuscript file, while tables and their titles or captions must be included at the end of the anonymised manuscript file only. Figure and table titles must be no more than 10 words, abbreviations in captions must be spelled out in full, and previously published or adapted figures or tables must acknowledge the original source and have written permission.
