Research Article

Cover Letter A brief cover letter is required. Cover letter must state the article type, manuscript title, a short description of the study, any declarations of interest, a statement that the work is original and not under consideration elsewhere, and whether AI tools were used.
Abstract A structured text abstract is required, and a graphical abstract is also required. Text abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 3,500 words excluding the title, abstracts, legends, and references. Manuscript must be organized under the headings Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion. Manuscript must include a graphical abstract, up to 6 keywords, a Disclosures section, and an explanation of any AI use in the Methods or Acknowledgements section.
References References are limited to 30. References must use Vancouver style. References must be cited in the text with Arabic numerals in order of citation, listed at the end of the article, and if there are more than six authors the first six should be followed by "et al.".
Figures & Tables Figures are limited to 6 and tables are limited to 6. Tables and their legends must be included at the end of the manuscript file, while each figure must be uploaded as a separate file and figure legends included in a separate section at the end of the manuscript. The approximate position of each figure and table should be indicated, all tables must be editable and numbered, and all figures must be numbered consecutively and not duplicate data from the tables or text.

Review Article

Cover letter must state the article type, manuscript title, a short description of the work, any declarations of interest, a statement that the work is original and not under consideration elsewhere, and whether AI tools were used in the study or manuscript preparation.
Abstract An unstructured text abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be unstructured.

References References are limited to 50. References must follow Vancouver style. Figures & Tables There is no maximum number of figures, tables, or videos, but figures may contain no more than 6 panels each. Tables and their legends must be included at the end of the manuscript file, and each figure must be uploaded as a separate file with figure legends provided in a separate section at the end of the manuscript. The approximate position of each figure and table should be indicated, tables must be editable and not embedded as images, and all tables and figures must be numbered consecutively and cited in the text.
