Evolution and Human Behavior is an interdisciplinary journal presenting research reports and theory in which evolutionary perspectives are applied to the study of human behavior. It primarily publishes scientific work and also encourages submissions from scholars in the humanities. Papers on other species are welcome when their relevance to humans is apparent.

Research Reports
Cover Letter
If data archiving is impossible, impractical, or illegal, the cover letter must explain why.
Abstract
An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract should be unstructured.
Manuscript
Research Reports may not exceed 8,000 words excluding references. Manuscript should be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections including Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion. Include 1 to 6 English keywords and a declaration of generative AI use in a section placed before the references if AI was used in manuscript preparation.
References
Citations and references must follow APA 7th edition. Reference list must be ordered alphabetically and then chronologically, with same-author same-year works distinguished by letters.
Figures & Tables
All figures and tables, including captions and footnotes, must be embedded in the main text, while figures must also be supplied as separate files. Tables must be editable text rather than images, and every figure and table must be cited, numbered consecutively, and accompanied by a caption.

The manuscript must be an empirical article with an Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion, and the Introduction must identify the paper being replicated, the hypotheses being tested, the rationale for replication, the justification for the methods including statistical power, and the main conclusions of the current work. Include 1 to 6 English keywords, and if generative AI was used in manuscript preparation, add a declaration section before the references list.
