Original Research Studies

Cover Letter A cover letter must accompany the submission. Cover letter must state which open science practices the authors are seeking.
Abstract Abstract requirements are not specified.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 40 pages and articles are typically based on 28- to 35-page manuscripts including the cover page, abstract, references, tables, and figures. Manuscript must include a clear purpose statement, research questions or hypotheses, theoretical or conceptual bases, sufficient methodological detail for replication, and for preregistered studies clearly separated confirmatory and exploratory analyses with disclosure of any analysis-plan changes. Manuscript must indicate whether the research was preregistered, provide time-stamped registry links in the text if preregistered, report all preregistered analyses, describe participants with adequate demographic detail and rationale for data disaggregation, and provide evidence about the trustworthiness of measures and instruments.
References References must follow APA Publication Manual, 7th edition, 2020. Data sets and program code used in the publication must be cited in the text and listed in the reference section with a persistent identifier such as a DOI.
Figures & Tables Each table and each figure must begin on a new page. Tables must be editable text-based Word tables with a number and title, header row and/or column, and no color-based meaning, and figures must include a number and title.
