Abstract Abstract is required. Structured abstract must not exceed 300 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Background, Objectives, Design, Methods, Results, Conclusion, and Registration (if applicable).
Manuscript Manuscript is recommended to be up to 6000 words excluding tables, figure legends, and references. Include at least 2 keywords after the abstract, an Author Contributions section after the Acknowledgements, and a Statements and Declarations section with all required subheadings at the end of the article.
References There is no limit on references. References must follow Sage Vancouver style. Every in-text citation must have a corresponding reference list entry and every reference list entry must be cited in the text.
Figures & Tables There is no limit on figures and tables. Figures must be numbered consecutively in the order in which they appear in the text.
