Experimental Lung Research publishes original articles in all fields of respiratory tract anatomy, biology, developmental biology, toxicology, and pathology, with emphasis on molecular, biochemical, and cellular mechanisms of normal function, pathogenesis, and responses to injury. The journal also publishes reports on methodological advances, invited reviews on important and timely research advances, and proceedings of specialized symposia.

Original Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required. Structured abstract must be 300 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must include the headings Purpose/Aim of the study, Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Main text must be organized as introduction, materials and methods, results, and discussion. Manuscript must include 3 to 5 keywords, a word count, funding details, and a disclosure of interest statement.
References References may be in any consistent scholarly citation style or format. References must include author name(s), journal or book title, article or chapter title, year of publication, volume and issue where appropriate, page numbers, and a corresponding in-text citation for each entry.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables may be placed within the text or submitted as separate documents. Tables must be supplied as editable files.
