Article

Cover Letter Cover letter is required. Cover letter must include the corresponding author's affiliation and contact information, explain the importance of the work and its suitability for the journal's broad readership, and confirm that the manuscript reports original research not previously published or under consideration elsewhere.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 200 words. Abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript Main body text must not exceed 8,000 words excluding the abstract, tables/figures, and references. Manuscript must include Title page, Abstract, Introduction, Materials (or Patients) and Methods, Results, Discussion, Data Availability Statement, References, Acknowledgments, Author Contributions, Ethical Approval, Competing Interests, Figure legends, Tables, and Figures. Manuscript must include Author Contributions and a funding section, be indexed with one to four unique subject terms, and document any use of a large language model in the Methods section or another suitable section if no Methods section is available.
References References must follow Vancouver format. References must be cited in text as numbered citations starting at 1 and listed in double-spaced numerical order, with up to six authors named in full or the first six followed by et al. if more than six authors.
Figures & Tables Composite figures containing more than three individual figures count as two figures. Figures must not be embedded in the text and must be uploaded as separate files, and each table must be uploaded separately. Figure legends must be provided on a separate manuscript page after the references, and tables must be editable and clearly labeled sequentially with a title or caption.

Manuscript Main body text excluding abstract, tables/figures, and references must not exceed 4,000 words. Manuscript must contain Title page, Abstract, Introduction, Materials (or Patients) and Methods, Results, Discussion, Data Availability Statement, References, Acknowledgments, Author Contributions, Ethical Approval, Competing Interests, Figure legends, Tables, and Figures. Manuscript must include Author Contributions and a funding section, be indexed with one to four unique subject terms, and document any use of a large language model in the Methods section or a suitable alternative part of the manuscript.
References References must not exceed 100. References must follow Vancouver format. In-text citations must be numbered consecutively from 1, the reference list must be double-spaced and arranged in numerical order of citation, list all authors when there are up to six and the first six followed by et al. when there are more than six, and include first and last page numbers.
Figures & Tables Figures must not be embedded in the text and must be uploaded as separate files, and each table must be uploaded separately. Figure legends must be brief and specific and placed on a separate manuscript page after the references, tables must be editable and cited in sequence in the text, and figures and tables must be labelled sequentially.

Figures must not be embedded in the text and must be uploaded as separate files, and each table must be uploaded as a separate editable file. Figure legends must be brief and specific and placed on a separate manuscript page after the references, and tables must present only essential data without duplicating the text.
