Clinical Oral Investigations is a multidisciplinary journal for research in oral medicine and maxillofacial science which provides up-to-date results of basic and clinical studies. It intends to create a connection between basic and clinical sciences and thus promote the exchange of information and the advancement of oral medicine for the benefit of patients. It aims to clarify the relevance of new results to modern practice for an international readership and is recognized as one of the leading clinical journals in the field of oral and maxillofacial science and medicine.

Abstract Abstract is required. Abstract must be 150 to 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must include the headings Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusions, and Clinical Relevance.
Manuscript Manuscript must include a separate section entitled "Compliance with Ethical Standards" and a separate summary conflict of interest statement before the reference list. Manuscript must include 4 to 6 keywords.
References References must be cited in the text with numbers in square brackets and listed consecutively in numbered order, with full DOI links included when available.
Figures & Tables Figures should be submitted within the body of the text, with large figures submitted separately only if file size causes upload problems. Tables and figures must be numbered with Arabic numerals in consecutive order, each table must have a caption, and figure captions must be included in the manuscript text file rather than in the figure files.
