Full Length Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required for submission. The cover letter must address the novelty and significance of the work.

Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must be no longer than 300 words. Abstract must be unstructured and concise and factual.

Manuscript Manuscript must contain, in order, Title, Authors and addresses, Corresponding Author and address, Abstract, and Keywords, and include numbered sections in the order Introduction, Materials and methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgements, References, and Legends to Figures. Manuscript must include 1 to 6 keywords, article highlights submitted separately as 3 to 5 bullet points of no more than 85 characters each, a graphical abstract submitted separately, and an AI-use declaration in a new section before the references if generative AI tools were used in manuscript preparation.

References References must use an author-date style. References in the text must give the author name followed by the publication date in brackets, and the reference list must be arranged alphabetically and include all authors, year, article title, abbreviated journal name, volume, and page numbers for journal articles.

Figures & Tables Figures must be supplied as separate files, while tables with their legends must be provided in separate or combined files and cited in the manuscript text. Tables must be editable text with consecutive numbering and captions, and each figure must be separately numbered and captioned with any symbols or abbreviations explained, with any generative AI-created images disclosed in the caption.
