Review Article

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must be unstructured and 120–160 words, with fewer than 160 words. Abstract must be unstructured and unreferenced.
Manuscript Manuscript must be 2,500–5,000 words, excluding the abstract, references, and accompanying statements. Main text must be divided under headings and subheadings, each kept short and succinct with a maximum of 5 words. Manuscript must include 3 to 7 keywords, a bulleted Clinical Perspective statement summarising clinical implications in 2 to 5 bullet points, and an AI use disclosure in the paper if AI tools were used.
References References are limited to a maximum of 80. References must follow Vancouver style. References must be numbered in order of first mention using superscript, listed numerically at the end, include the first three authors followed by “et al.” unless there are four or fewer authors, and include DOI and PubMed ID for each reference.
Figures & Tables Articles may include a maximum of 5 figures and tables. Figures and tables must appear at the end of the anonymised manuscript and not be embedded in the text, and figures must also be uploaded separately as image files. Figure titles and captions and table titles or captions must be included at the end of the anonymised manuscript, all figures and tables must be referenced in the text, and all symbols and abbreviations used in figures and tables must be defined in a footnote.

Original Research

Abstract Original Research articles must include a structured abstract of 250 words. Abstract must be 250 words. Abstract must be structured and presented in 5 paragraphs. Abstract must use the headings Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion, and Trial Registration if applicable.
Manuscript Original Research submissions must be 2,500–5,000 words, excluding the abstract, references, and accompanying statements. Manuscript must include at minimum the headings Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion, and must also include the sections Background, Methods, Results, Discussion, Study limitations, Conclusion, Trial Registration, and Data availability statement. Manuscript must include 3 to 7 keywords, a Clinical Perspective summary of 2 to 5 brief bullet points not exceeding 150 words, and a disclosure of any AI tool used and how it was used.
References Original Research submissions may include a maximum of 100 references. References must follow Vancouver style.
