Research And Applications
Cover Letter
Cover letter is required and must disclose any use of AI. Cover letter must include any AI use, details of related papers by the same author or authors already published or under consideration, and details of previous reviews of the submitted article.
Abstract
Abstract is required. Structured abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract headings must be Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
Manuscript
Manuscript must not exceed 4000 words. Main text must include Background and Significance plus sections corresponding to the abstract headings. Manuscript must disclose any use of AI in the Methods or Acknowledgements section.
References
References must be numbered sequentially in order of appearance and list all authors if there are 3 or fewer, or the first 3 followed by 'et al.' if there are more than 3.
Figures & Tables
Articles may include up to 6 figures and up to 4 tables. Tables must be placed in the main text where first cited, while images must be uploaded as separate files. Figure legends must be provided at the end of the manuscript, and all images, figures, illustrations, and photographs must include alt text in the main manuscript directly under the relevant figure legend.
