Abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Background, Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript
Manuscript text must not exceed 3,500 words, excluding the abstract, figure legends, and references. Text must be organized into Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion sections. Manuscript must include a highlights box with responses of no more than 35 words each, up to 10 key words following the highlights box, a list of abbreviations and acronyms with definitions following the key words, and a Declaration of Generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process before the references if applicable.
References
References must follow Vancouver style. References must be cited in the text with consecutive superscript Arabic numerals and listed at the end in numeric order, listing all authors when there are six or fewer and the first six followed by et al. when there are seven or more.
